Paper Scrap Day

To help manage my scraps, I have begun calling paper scrap days. It seems I am unable to throw away scraps. Perhaps it is the artist in me that loves beautiful paper, or the quilter who knows scraps can be used to create beautiful things, or the frugal sister to six sisters and four brothers who would like to save money. My life as a paper crafter began with scrap booking, but I have added card making as a way to use scraps and explore my tools. So, my rule is to use only my scraps, white card stock for the card base and any of my embellishment supplies. I love to use my SU border punches, my Cuttlebug embossing templates and my pens to add to the cards.

To add the star punch embellishment to the die cut made with my Cricut Storybook cartridge, I made a slice in the die just where I wanted to add the punched star. Then I slip on the star punch and glue, and it looks as if the frame came with the star punch already attached.

  1. Hi Clare,
No I don't have a pattern for my bib, except I traced a bib I had onto vellum. :) Maybe check your local thrift store and find a cheap one and copy that? That's what I would suggest. Good luck! Thanks so much for visiting me and leaving me a comment!
