#TrendyTuesday: #Sweater #Trends
Welcome to Trendy Tuesday! Let's talk about a bit trend this Fall and Winter in sweaters: Interest at the hem! For many sweaters, it's a ruffle, you can also find sheer layers, and even feathers (like the look above)! I've created a sweater trend lookbook, which I am calling, "Take Your Cat and Leave My Sweater." I often struggle to name my lookbooks and enjoy pulling lyrics from a song for ideas. And really ladies, you don't need his sweater!
Here are some of my favorite sweaters with interest at the hem (see the photo above). You can find all these sweaters here. Here are some tips on wearing this trend by figure type.
1) Triangle and straight figures, this look works well for you and gives you some hips. Choose the sweater with the ruffle or the lighter color on the bottom.
2) Pear figures, need to choose the sweater with the lighter color on top and the plain woven panel. Avoid the ruffle.
3) Petites figures, go monotone with your top and pants. The black sweater with the animal print sheer bottom is a petite sized top. Pair it with a black pant or jean to keep your look long.
4) Apple figures, because the peplum flatters your figure look for the sweater with a ruffle that has a start at or near the waist line to give you the look of an hourglass figure. Like the sweater below where the flair starts at the waist! Find it here.

#FrugalFashionFriday: Secrets to Save on Boots
I am continuing my obsession over boots today and letting you in on a secret that I recently learned about how to save on boots from the krazycouponlady: women can purchase big girls boots to save $! And vice versa! So here is the size conversion break down I found at krazycouponladies blog. Be sure to check the boot shaft height against your measurements when you are a woman shopping big girl sizes! Should this measurement be a bit short, add the boot cuff to visually lengthen the look! And if you are petite, this may be the perfect height! The boot pictured above is under $55.00!
What a great way to save on boots, before the inventory is gone, bad weather hits, and the end of season sales! I have created a page of big girl boot options for you at Keaton Row here. Shipping and returns are free on all these boots! And it's never too early to start your Christmas shopping! Don't see a pair you like? Request a free lookbook anytime here.

#WearWellWednesday: Boot and Styling Tips
Well you may have figured out by my Tuesday Trend tips, that I am a big fan of the boot. But, boots can be pricey. So here is how to get the best look for your investment in boots when ordering On Line:
1) Get a good fit for the foot and the calf
a) Use a boot measurement guide provided by your retailer or here by Nordstrom. I have shared their photo above.
b) Measure yourself using the guide and check your measurements against the retailers boot measurements. See Nordstroms video on how to measure both the calf and the shaft height here. Keep in mind that you may want to wear tights, socks or boot cuffs under your boot opening. You can add a boot cuff to a boot with a larger calf measurement than you need and add a finished look at the same time. I love to get boot cuffs at Etsy or if you are crafty you can make your own! Etsy even has patterns for sale. Want a pair of tights? I can get you some at Keaton Row! Just request a lookbook!
Find more information about how to wear the different styles of boots well at my blog posts below.

#TrendyTuesday:TheOverTheKneeBoot
It's time to talk about the drama boot trend: The over the knee boot and how to wear it. Most experts do not recommend this for the petite as it will shorten your look, but for the rest of us, I'll start with a skirt look for work or going out. Can you wear this to work? If you are in a creative field, yes you can! So, fashion, advertising, television, etc., this look can go to the office. For the rest of us, we may want to wear this for an evening out. To pull this look together, add the same color of the boot to your jacket or top look. Like the animal print jacket above with has the boot color in the pattern. Warm up all that black with the statement necklace.
You can also were the over the knee boot for casual every day looks. Pair it with a skinny jean or a legging. Again I have used the boot color in the jacket layer by matching the jacket trim to the boot color. I added a pop of blue to continue the jean color and brighten the neutrals. I love any drawstring bag, but this one by Michael Kors is a fav!
And how about a bold over the knee look perfect for the night out or the fashionista's day look? I love to pair an animal print with a pop of red. So I've added red accessories to this rocking over the knee boot look! Shipping and returns are free. You can find these over the knee looks here. Don't see a look you like, or want something else to go with a boot I have shown? Just request a free lookbook here.

Support Something Saturday
All these ice bucket challenges have got us thinking about supporting organizations and our loved one's. So as part of our Head to Toe event Jamie and I are pulling out some ideas to show your support. Many of us know someone in the armed services, so we found a camo wrap and some military inspired looks for you. You can find the clothing for the look above here.
And another cause close to our heart is Autism Awareness. Clare found a necklace with puzzle pieces that you can share with someone you love and a black dress with a bright print. When you wear this type of print, keep the rest of your accessories simple! Find the clothing and jewelry here. Jamie's nail wrap notes are as follows. Autism Awareness: Love this look! Fire Engine Tip, Stormy Seas Lacquer, Autism Awareness, and White Chevron. Apply one even coat of Stormy Seas Lacquer on nails and allow to dry before applying Fire Engine Tip to create a deep blue nail with red French tip; and White Chevron to create a green back ground for the white zig zags. Jamberry nails donates $2 from the sale of each Autism Awareness Wrap to The Autism Society. I love the necklace Clare found to complement this wrap! Autism Awareness also comes in Jamberry Juniors collection which fits children roughly up to age eight. Get your wraps here with Jamie.

Friday Formal Look
Today I am sharing a look we put together for a formal occasion, perfect for the upcoming Holiday Season or a wedding with Keaton Row and Jamberry. Everyone should have a little black dress right? You will love this for the dress from ASOS with classic Hollywood glamour. An embroidered kimono jacket for a coat layer and we have paired it with silver and gold to finish the look! Find the dress, and accessories here. You could pair this jacket will a long pair of black velvet gloves! Jamie's Comments on the nails are as follows. Formal Look: Static, Diamond Dust Sparkle, Little Black Dress, Floral Noir. Diamond dust Sparkle and Little Black Dress complement the gold and silver jewelry, Floral Noir and Static are a girly but sophisticated combination that mimic the lines in the clutch and the pattern on the jacket. To learn more about the Jamberry raps featured in this link please visit Jamie's Jamberry site here.
