Adjustable Scalloped Marquee to share
Whenever I get a papercrafting or scrapbooking magazine, I go through and mark all the things that inspire me with post it notes. I make notes of what I want to do, for example, make a cut file, try this technique, scrap lift this page. So, when I saw this months Paper Crafts magazine and the cute bag on page 33, I knew I had to make a cut file. They used a decorative scissors, but I never get them to cut straight or well on curves. Also, I wanted a cut file to go with my Storybook marquee shapes. I used Basic Grey paper, DCWV glitter stack, K & Company Amy Butler Stickers, CTMH stamps and ink, and Sassafras Lass stamps.
This shape took a long time, worked on it three days (on and off between housework and playtime)! But Diane at Capadia and Carla at Scrapped Lives have convinced me there is NO other way to create a cut file! Now, I may have to go back and re-create my favorite early cut files! If you download this file, I would love to see what you make with it! You can email it to me (see my contact info), or look for my post on the Cricut message boards to post your pictures. Your comments are appreciated too! Please while your here, take a look at my Cricut Dust Covers and watch for some new ones soon, inspired by recession retro 1930's fashion and home decorating. Please do not sell my cut file or use it in items you sell. Thanks!
There is a small flaw in this file...an extra circle off to the side. It was created while I was designing off the screen, and I don't know how to delete it or move it, without moving 20 other scallop circles. So, you will need to use select hide contour if you do not want it cut! You will need Storybook and George Basic Shapes for this cut file.
This is great! TFS
