Christmas in July Page with Anna Griffin

I am just getting around to scrapping the last of this years holiday card photos.  The page came together quickly with Anna Griffin and Kaisercraft.  The green die cut layers and the red and gold center layer are Anna Griffin Nifty Nested Layers.  The red and white layer is Kaisercraft North Pole Snowball.  I embellished both die cuts with some Stickles, a silver Sharpie pen, and Bead Landing jewels.  The holly die cuts and silver bow are all left overs from one of Anna Griffin's Christmas card kits.

Pull It Together

I love how this page appears to have so much texture and depth.  All the time adding the stickles, jewels, and doodling make the doilies appear more lace like.  Don't be afraid to mix doilies from more than one designer and pull them together with the same embellishments on each doily and the same colors.  What are you scrapping with Anna Griffin's Nifty Nested Layers?

UFO Challenge #23: Anything Goes

This week I am continuing with my Finish Your Unfinished Objects Challenge.  It turns out that there are no traditional 23rd wedding anniversary gifts.  Modern gift traditions are silver plate or topaz, so I am opening this up to anything goes.  Work on any UFO this week and post a link here or on the Facebook group and get two entries for one UFO!
My photo above is a screen capture of a page layout I scrap lifted from the Kaisercraft blog.  I love that I can use the Cricut Design Space to virtually layout a page before I actually cut them.  And I will actually use printed paper rather than print and cut with the Cricut for this.  I use the Insert Image and search for what I want, for example doily.    I can filter for images I own or can get on my subscription and quickly filter out items I don't own.  I may even get a little scrap booking UFO's done this way!
The prize drawing at the end of June is for a $25.00 Starbucks gift card.  Contest is open to U.S. residents only, who have worked on a UFO in May or June and posted it to my Facebook challenge group or blog in the comments section.

Finish Your UFO Challenge #5: Wood

This week I am continuing with my Finish Your Unfinished Objects Challenge.  And working with the Anniversary theme, the fifth week extra entry theme is wood.  So, pull out any unfinished project that wood or paper (paper's made from trees too!)  and tell us about how you are going to finish your project.  It could be a paper craft, home décor, etc.
Since we are almost into February and most of this week will be in February, any entries for this weeks challenge will go towards February's prize.  Please look for the info on February's prize tomorrow on the First!
To enter the prize drawing use the InLinkz below, or visit our Facebook Group and post there.
Pictured above is one of my projects made with wood.  My boys are always finding rocks and sea glass on the shores of lake Michigan and I wanted a place for them to store their treasures.  Find the details here.
