This Year's December Daily

I love the idea of a December Daily, but in years past it has just been one more thing added to the list of to do's.  I really want it just to be a tool to help me and my family remember the reason for the season.  So, this year, I decided to do it in a scales back form with one page.  I had no swirls that would fit the page, so I made my own with Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest.  Love this look!

One Page Two Ways

Just back from an all day crop and am sharing one page I made two different ways.  Both were made with die cuts I purchase from QVC.  The titles are cut with Cricut Winter Frolic.  The cut actually says White Christmas, but I cut off the White to fit two photos on my page.

You're Never Too Old for Peek-a-boo!

My post today is an application for the Design Team at The Robin's Nest.  I would love to be a part of the team again and this time I would love to be on the scrap book layout team!  So, I am sharing a layout today made with beautiful paper from The Robin's Nest!

I started with the Glitter Black and White Border Swirl Paper as my back ground.  Then using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut the red radial design in The Robin's Nest Red on Red Rope Paper.  You know I love my digital cutters, but there are times when I love to fussy cut as well!  This beautiful Glitter Black and white Swirl Border was just too pretty to cover up, so I decided to play peek-a-boo!  I placed my red radial design on top and using a pencil marked where I needed to fussy cut.  You can use this peak-a-boo technique to high light your favorite paper without hiding the best details!

On top of the Glitter Black and White Swirl Border, I embellished the page with flowers and leaves from Prima.  For the center of my flower, I used a black button.  It was too small a button, so I used Black Diamond Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest Ace of Diamonds (upside down) to create a better center.  Also used to embellish the paper are more Ace of Diamonds black diamond dew drops and The Robin's Nest Pointsetta Dew Drops in red and green.  The title is made with The Robin's Nest Journal Title and the black "Joy" is Anna Griffin.  The photo is matted on The Robin's Nest Glitter Black Starfish paper

The Square Punch Challenge in 3D

lSo many cards these days are 3 dimensional.  I love the look, but am not always sure how to mail them.   So, I love to use this look in my gift cards for Christmas packages.  Here is a card I made to enter into Moxie Fab World's  Square Punch Challenge.
Are you wondering where I used the punch?  I used it on the red band across the bottom of the card!  It is a square cut on the diagonal in the Honey Pop  Red Honeycomb Paper by Inky Antics.  I then placed a glue dot at either end and added some holly leaves, a Jolee's Bling berry and  a Peace tag from The Robin's Nest.
