Three D Doily

Today I am sharing a 3 dimensional doily that I made for a scrapbook page.  Be sure to stop back on Saturday to see how I used it on the finished page.   For my heart, I started with two Silhouette files, the first one, is used for the placement of The Robin's Nest Tear Drops and Dew Drops.  I cut the file on some scrap paper and set it aside.  I then stretched the heart with the scalloped edges to fit the patterned heart.  And cut the heart with the scalloped edges, and place it on a light box with the placement heart cut out behind it.
All the Tear Drops on sale this month at The Robin's Nest for the month of February!  You can find them all HERE.  You don't need a coupon, you will see they are already marked down!

Sympathy for A Window Card Challenge

Just sharing this sympathy card I made today and entering it into the Moxie Fab World Window Card Challenge.  I used Discovery Girl Glitter Swirl paper and dew drops by The Robin's Nest.  I distressed the edges and added flower and button.  The stamp is Angel Company.  Don't you love these coffee colored dew drops!  I love that there is one inside the card with the sentiment too!

Using Card Kits for Pages

As a long time scrap booker, I have often used my scraps from making pages to make cards.  This month, I'm shaking things up and using scraps from a card kit from The Robin's Nest to make a page.    I don't often need baby cards, so after I made the cards I needed, I decided to use the rest of the kit to scrap a precious memory from my son's first bath at home.
Along with card kits from The Robin's Nest, I used a stamp and matching die from Heartfelt Creations.  The Robin's Nest and Heartfelt Creations have teamed up this month.  Don't you love the Heartfelt Flowers with dew drop centers from The Robin's Nest?!

So, here is how I created this page.  I started by cutting one inch of the top of the yellow ducky paper in the Baby Boy Card Kit from The Robin's Nest.  I then lined then up on the right hand side of the page to create a rectangle.  I trimmed one sheet of The Robin's Nest Water Color Ocean paper to make the blue strip along the bottom, and placed one of the trimmed pieces from above to repeat the baby duck print in the same direction as the blue.
I stamped the flower using the Heartfelt Creation Perfect Petal Medley PreCut Set and then cut it using the Heartfelt Creations Perfect Petals Custom die.  I distressed inked the edges of my petals and shaped them with a ball stylus.  I used mini dew drops included in the Baby Boy Card Kit from The Robin's Nest in the center of my flower.
I used a bronze tag from the Safari Tag Kit and embossed it using Vintage Copper Enamel Powder by Piccolo.  I then used white letter stickers by The Robin's Nest and inked them to match my flower.  I love that I can ink these white stickers to match any color on my page!  The rubber duckies are from the Baby Boy card kit and I used one to cover the corner of a tag from the Safari Tag Kit.  This tag had a map of Africa, and I needed to make it baby boy.  This is a great trick to use items in your stash, just embellish to match your page!  I ran a ribbon from the Safari kit through the Collin tag and adhered it to the page.  A scrap of the same ribbon is used to embellish the journaling tag.
The circle was cut with Sure Cuts a Lot, but you could simply cut a circle and add some of letter stickers to get the same look.  I love the use of the yellow, blue and white on this page!

Now my cards were made with the same kits mentioned above and ribbon.  I used the Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge to cut the frames and embellished them with the mini dew drops.  I added the stickers from the Baby Boy kit and kept the cards simple but sparkly!

All That Glitters

I am always faithful to scrapbook the Santa pictures and my Christmas photo cards when I get them.  So, today I am sharing this years photo with Santa page.  This is the perfect season to use all that glitters with beautiful papers from The Robin's Nest, and beautiful stamps and dies from Heartfelt Creations!  I started with a plain piece of red card stock and stitched a sheet of The Robin's Nest Teal Glitter Card stock on top.  I wish you could see this glitter card stock in person, as pictures just don't do it justice!  It is more of an embossed look with flecks of silver embossing on top of the card stock and The Robin's Nest offers this in multiple colors.  I want them all!

On top of the base papers, I cut a circle with a tail using Sure Cuts a Lot software and hung the Heartfelt Creations ornament from the circle.  To make this embellished circle cut, you can just think of the circle as a clock face and cut it at 9:00, then make a straight line from 6:00 in a clockwise direction.  The ornament was made with Heartfelt Creations HCPC 3335 Elegant Snowflake Medallion Pre-Cut Set and Heartfelt HCD 705 Creations Holly Ornament Die.  I used Silver Dew Drops from the Robin's Nest.  I also cut the holly leaves with the HCD 705 die.
The tag is from The Robin's Nest, and I cut up the holly leaves from other tags to repeat the use of this beautiful copper colored paper. I embossed both the leaves and the tag with Piccolo's Vintage Copper Enamel Powder.  It is so rich looking with The Robin's Nest tags!
The title is made with an oval tag from The Robin's Nest Animal Tag Sticker set.  I love when I can use a sticker set in more than one theme.  The numbers are also The Robin's Nest:  gold glitter letters.
I cut four scroll shapes using Heartfelt Creations Perfect Petals Die and put three under my circle shape.  I then trimmed the top two curls off of the last shape and used it under my title.  This is a great way to repeat a design and make it the right scale for your needs.  It is also a great way to stretch your dies to cut more than one shape!  And while we are talking about dies, I want to give you a tip on how to use the beautiful detail dies you find at Heartfelt Creations.  Cover the die with clear packing tape, so that the sticky side faces the cutting edge.  Run the die through your die cutting machine with some scrap paper and you will now have the NON-stick side of the tape facing up in the die cutting side.  This will make removing your paper from the die a breeze!
Be sure to check out The Robin's Nest Store this month for specials on their card and tag kits for 20% off.  Here is a link for the sale items.  Use the coupon code cardkitpromo.  I love to make up my birthday cards for the whole year in January.  Why not use these kits to get your own cards made?

Hello! My name is Juraci, formed'm in advertising, do i have wonderful
children and a grandson who is my passion. I live in Ribeirão Preto São
Paulo where they encounter some difficulty buying material for scrap. I do my
shopping on the internet and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the
couriers. I have great interest in the arts. In 2008 he painted screens and
scrapbooking when I met it was love at first sight. I left the paint and
handed me the papers. Love photography which brings me great inspiration. My
favorite blog is my little corner where I made several friendships and
love having visitors.
Danielle May:  I live with my husband, and three furbabies on acreage just outside of Casino part of the beautiful Northern Rivers of New South Wales, Australia. Since 2009 I have been a stay at home wife and more recently I have become a part-time carer to my aging parents (my mother has Alzheimer's) and they now live with us.
When I discovered the world of papercrafts about 10 years ago I immediately knew it was a hobby for me. There isn't a day that goes by that I do not spend time in my craft room. I am card crazy.....love making ATC's, passionate about Stamping (a huge fan of Red Rubber) and I dabble in scrapbooking.
The most wonderful thing I have found about sharing my passion for papercrafts and blogging is the wonderful people you meet along the way.

I'm Marilia, mother of Gabriel and Marina, married to Peter.  I am an extremely passionate about life and people, adorooo life stories.  I'm electric, anxious in the extreme and I talk too much!

I love dogs, full house and be around people that make me happy.
I've always done crafts from menina.Sei ... do a bit of everything!
I found the comment to three years and it was love at first sight!
The wealth of materials associated with our memories and our stories have made the comment my favorite hobby. Ja made mini albums, I'm crazy about recycling! The idea of transforming what was going to waste on something different and beautiful ... fascinates me.
I have seen my LOs evolve and still have a long way to go, but I think the magic is right there.
I live a different life, I live in a town with my son and my husband and my daughter in another.
Every week there are people who stay and people go!
The comment is a way to relax that became a passion.

Brenda Lee Henkel Burfeind
I have been scrapbooking and card making for about 16 years.  I am married, have three children and three grandchildren.  I love creating with different mediums and am so blessed to have been chosen for the Robin's Nest Design Team.  I have been dabbling in Altered Art for a couple of years, starting with the Creative Paperclay® DT I was on and truly enjoy the projects I have made.  Joining the Robin's Nest DT was one of my goals as the products are fabulous.  I will be able to think outside the box more and with the great products Robin's Nest has to offer that won't be a problem at all.  So I hope you join me and my fellow DT members and come back and check often.  I know there will be something for everyone.  You can also find me at my blog atwww.createbyburffrau.blogspot.com

Jamie had her first scrapbook in elementary school even though it didn't have any designs to it, just important papers adhered to paper in a book titled "scrapbook." Real scrapbooking began about 13 years ago and has since evolved and progressed and is a continually growing and evolving experience for her. She began cardmaking about a year ago and loves trying to delve into altered items as well. She is a mother of two boys, 18 and 11, and been married for 13 years now. She loves crafts as well as reading in her free time. During the school year she is a substitute teacher who colors with her copic markers in her free time at work. She feels so lucky to have been selected for this wonderful design team.

Who knew my love of those little dew drops would one day land me on the Robin's Nest design team which I'm so excited to be a part of!!! At the moment I work full-time at a major insurance company. I have the most wonderful boyfriend, Greg, who is very supportive of my creative habit and one son, Zach, who is 23 years old and engaged. Also I’m also “owned” by eight cats…all outside I might add.

Ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon, I have been creating. I have won various awards for drawing, from elementary school and into college. I currently am on the Crafty Card Gallery DT and I previous designed for the Vintage Heartfelt Designs DT.

I discovered scrapbooking 15 years ago which evolved into paper crafts which lead to altering/up cycling found objects. I love to learn and share ideas with people. I have met a wide assortment of folks through doing swaps like Papercrafts Magazine, Swap-bot, Facebook, and through different individuals’ blogs. My style is shabby chic with vintage and a little bit of whimsy thrown in for good measure.

Fortunately, I have an awesome boss who puts up with me and even seems to like me. I live in Aliso Viejo (So. Orange County, in Southern California) and love it here. I am so excited to again be a part of this creative group! My style tends to lean towards inky, grungy, vintage . . . but then add glitter. I can’t wait to dive-in and create some fun new Robin’s Nest projects.

Our CARD Team:
This Team will post their projects on Tuesday and Thursday

My name is Barbara Rankin, and I am so excited to be a part of the Robin's Nest Design Team. I have been a crafter since early childhood... always making things.  After pursuing many different artistic endeavors, such as sewing, needlework, and Pergamano (embossing on parchment), I found my way into rubber stamping and graduated into becoming a self-taught, mixed-media artist.  I have taught classes at my local scrapbook store, as well as teaching the members of my local stamp club.  I have also been a guest instructor at another out-of-state stamp club on several occasions.  I love making cards, tags, ATCs (Artist Trading Cards), as well as making and altering books and mini albums. My style is usually vintage or shabby chic, with a sprinkling of steampunk whenever possible.  I have been published in Altered Arts Magazine, as well as in a book "Make it in Minutes: Mini Books". I was also recently published in the Just Steampunk Volume II magazine.  I have a wonderful, supportive husband of thirty years, and my two cute little Yorkie fur babies, Chloe and Zoe.

Where most people have a dining room, my house hosts an art room.  Aside from the kitchen, it is the most used common area of our home and open to anyone: kids, friends and adults alike.  I'm a stay at home mom who juggles coaching, volunteering (here/there/and everywhere), and taking care of home-family-community along with ink, paper, scissors, and rhinestones.  Mind you, I'm very careful when I juggle scissors!  I've been told  that "whimsy" or "silly" must be my middle name. (Boy, I thought everyone already knew it was Mercedes!?)  But, who wants to grow up dull and boring? While I enjoy flitttering here and there among various crafting companies, I am glad to have landed in the Robin's Nest and look forward to new adventures with this team!  Try to keep up with me on my blog:  "Sunnyside Up."

Mandi

My name is Mandi. I am twenty-three years old and live in Michigan with my parents, brother and a spoiled dog. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember but really got into it when I was teen. That is when my dad was getting me more into paper crafting. I am sure he didn't realize what a large stash accumulating over the years. I was thirteen when I put together my first scrapbook together and the subject was a tiny, little, fur ball, name Buster. I love to make scrapbook pages, cards and altered items. Besides crafting, I love to spend time cooking and spending time with my family.
