Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!
~This Weeks Challenge~
Challenge #203 Bye Bye Birdie
Bye Bye Birdie
Create a project with a bird on it.
To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.
Here is my project for the week:
Supplies:
Cricut Art Nouveau
Cricut Opposites Attract
The Robin's Nest Baby Tear Drops
The Robin's Nest Awning Spa Glitter Card Stock (patterned paper background)
The Robin's Nest Kiwi Sorbet Glitter Card Stock
The Robin's Nest Red Sorbet Glitter Card Stock
The Robin's Nest Shocking Pink Sorbet Glitter Card Stock
Art Glitter Fantasy Film
October Afternoon Peppermint Stick Card stock (green polka dot)
Basic Grey Letter stickers (dunes)
White Card Stock
Cuttlebug Swiss Dot Ribbon Folder
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Every year we visit South West Michigan and stay in a beach community called Palisades Park. The community owns and will never develop a large piece of critical dunes. This is my page for the boys to remember. I chose to use a hummingbird because their are many hummingbirds in the critical dunes habitat. I also LOVE the Art Nouveau flowers. I made a frame with two of the bracket cuts and added some of the Robin's Nest Tear Drops to the un-opened flowers.
For the hummingbird, I cut the wings using the Art Glitter Fantasy Film. The Fantasy Film will break in a standard metal die, but cuts like a dream in the Cricut! I just used the pressure dial on a 2. Isn't this perfect for the iridescent wings and end of the tail on the hummingbird!?
The title is made with Opposites Attract and Basic Grey Stickers.
